Open House Chicago 2026: Free Access to 200+ Buildings
Free entry to 200+ Chicago buildings that rarely open their doors, October 17–18. 🏛️
Open House Chicago is the Chicago Architecture Center's free annual festival: for one weekend, more than 200 sites in neighborhoods across the city welcome visitors, many of them places you usually can't get into. Pick the buildings you want to see, then visit during each site's open hours. There's no ticket to buy: admission is free.
Citywide: 200+ sites across Chicago neighborhoods
Hours vary by site, and some sites are open only on Saturday or only on Sunday, so check each site's listing on openhousechicago.org before you go. Admission is free and sites are first-come, first-served. Chicago Architecture Center members and Open House Chicago volunteers receive a Priority Access Pass to skip the line. Photography is generally allowed unless a site says otherwise.
